Carl Lumbly is an American actor known for portraying law enforcement and intelligence characters across television and film. He gained recognition as NYPD Detective Marcus Petrie on Cagney & Lacey and later played CIA Agent Marcus Dixon on the ABC series Alias. His career has also included voice work as Martian Manhunter in the Justice League franchise.

Early Acting Career
